What Exactly is CBD (Cannabidiol)?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a federally legalized form of cannabinoid that has become increasingly popular for its wide range of health benefits. It is typically consumed by extracting CBD from a hemp plant and combining it with oil, like hemp oil or coconut oil.

Many studies suggest the effectiveness of CBD in alleviating the side effects of health issues, including epilepsy. The FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) even recently approved a seizure-reducing medication that contains CBD.

Legally Conforming CBD is From Hemp Plants

CBD is an active component in marijuana, but we derive our CBD itself from industrial hemp plants. Unlike marijuana, which contains psychoactive levels of THC, CBD is a phytocannabinoid that will not cause any sensation of being high. It does not have the same intoxicating effects.

Consuming CBD (Cannabidiol) – Oral, Sublingual, Vape, & Topical

You may consume CBD (cannabidiol) in a variety of ways. Here are the best methods:

Oral

Today, there are many ways to take CBD Orally. You have the option of gunnies, drinks, pills, capsules, and more.  If you choose this, consider a “water soluble” CBD. It will enable your body to get more of the cannabidiol.

Sublingual

Sublingual (CBD Oil Drops)  are taken under your tounge. It dissolves into your system in 30-60 seconds. It provides the healthest and most rapid absorption. The result is faster symptom relief.

Smokeable

One thing about us is we don’t sell smokeable CBD. It’s likely useful for some, but we feel it can add unneeded health risks.

  • Flower – Smoking does provide the fastest results and that’s why many smoke CBD. The flower looks much like a marijuana bud with 0 or less than 0.3% THC.
  • Vape –  An alternative to the smokeable flower is CBD Vape Liquid.

Topical

There are also topical creams, gels, and sprays that are great to target specific muscles and body parts — legally conforming CBD products contain up to 0.3% THC. Topicals are great options for athletes or those with daily muscle pains.

A great thing about topicals is they can be applied directly to sore areas. CBD contains strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Side Effects

Many medications are addictive and contain chemicals that have adverse side effects like headaches, grogginess, drowsiness, and irritability. Some people seeking natural relief without prescription drugs have found CBD helps control symptoms without adverse side effects.

Potential Health and Wellness Benefits

There are current studies underway testing the impact of CBD on reducing the effects of cancer treatments, including relieving nausea, tremors, and pain. These are some of the many critical ongoing studies that offer hope for increased ways in which CBD can positively impact our health.
